Helping Teens Build their Relationship with Christ
We know the teens of our community hold the key to the coming generations of the Christian faith. Many young people today struggle with how to walk with God in the world we live in. That’s why we believe it is crucial to provide a positive space for our teens.
What Teens are Facing in Today’s World
Most parents cannot imagine being a teenager in the world today. From social media to cultural pressures, teens today face far greater challenges than the generations before them. Navigating life at this stage has always been difficult, but now more than ever, it is crucial that we equip our young adults with the tools to lean on Christ in all circumstances.
That’s why at FHMV Baptist Church, we strive to provide a support system for teens. This includes education with a Biblical world-view, life application, lessons in discernment, and opportunities for teens to grow in their faith. Our goal is to prepare our young people with what they need to move into adulthood as strong, faithful Christians that can handle whatever life throws at them.

Three Steps To Get Teens Involved
1. Attending Worship Services and Bible Study
The Word of God is the greatest guide we can use to help our teens move from youth to adulthood. This creates a solid foundation of faith that is strengthened by worship services and Bible studies. These services are available for grades 7th-12th.

2. Participating in Events and Activities
We engage our teens through monthly activities and special events. These events provide an opportunity for teens to strengthen friendships in a Christian environment.

3. Joining in Community Outreach
We provide several opportunities for young people to serve in our ministry. This allows the teens to make application of Biblical truths they’ve learned. Among the ways to serve are through our music ministry, outreach, special event planning, and more.
